I used this chapter as the start to our finance class and prior to using the rest of the Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum. I wanted it first because it keeps in perspective that everything we have and ever will have comes from God. The students really enjoyed Dave and the stories included on the DVD. We used most of the activities included and right now we are having a clothing and non-food drive for a pantry in our community to go along with the adopt-a-charity activity. I think if our kids start to learn to give early, they will do it for the rest of their lives.
Only negative to this chapter would be that some of the test questions and parts refer back to materials covered in chapters 1-12. But, I think we may even revisit parts of this chapter at the end of our class.
