This is a lovely calendar...that gives me laughs and serious thoughts (how Jon Acuff manages both at the same time is a mystery!) for the day.
Love it!!
The only thing i would ask is maybe next years calendar would have a plastic binder so that you dont have to tear off the days thoughts...just coz at times i wanna look back to a memorable quotes :)
Otherwise its GREAT!!!

John's website, insights, and books are wonderful! This calendar is no exception. Each day he has a topic that really makes you think. MOST days it makes you laugh (Wednesdays are more serious topics), but they all make you think. If you've ever wanted to look at your Christian habits from another point of view, this is for you!!

SCL calendar is awesome & funny! Buy it! It is my favorite part of each day - flipping the calendar and reading another gem of hilarity OR if it's serious Wednesday then something challenging and thought provoking.

Well, maybe I didn't lose 100 pounds, but Jon has a way of calling us Christians out in a way that allows us to laugh at ourselves. Yet, on the other side of the sometimes biting satire, the "serious Wednesdays" can provoke some deep self reflection and can be a catalyst for real spiritual growth and change. Very few writers can pull off both and do it well.

I was so excited when I saw Jon's calendar. I ordered one for my husband and sister-in-law and in return, I received one for Christmas. We often email each other with our favorite line in the daily humor. Keep us laughing Jon!

I enjoy this calendar a lot. My only wish is that it were spiral bound so you could just flip the pages back. The way it is, you either have to tear the pages off or pin them back somehow. Even though it's a dated calendar, I'd like to be able to keep each page for reference. A spiral bound edition would really help that. Maybe next year's version!

Filled with comedy and Christian tips, this was well worth the price. With daily humor with titles such as, "Dating God instead of me", "Saving seats at Church", and "Grape Juice", I'm falling out of bed laughing (Actually, I fell out of bed to get to the Calendar, but that's not the point). Without a doubt, this is a must-buy.

I'm sorry to say this was far less than I had hoped for based on the title. I could relate to the subject matter (stereotypical Christian behavior), but the commentary was rather disappointing. It sounded like someone pushing too hard to be funny... all I heard was chirping crickets.
