I have been teaching for over 24 years and this has been the best curriculum that I have implemented for my business students. The kids enjoy the lessons and Dave is the ultimate teacher and knows how to relate the topic to them. He deals out humor with his lessons and it grabs the students' attention. We laugh out loud during some of his lessons, he just has that way about him. The activities that go along with the videos are excellent and truly make the students think about what the lesson is that Dave is trying to teach them. I have students who are advising older siblings about information that they have gained from this curriculum. If in doubt on whether to purchase this curriculum I say GO FOR IT!! You will feel like this is the best money spent on your students that school year and the years to come.

I have taught Personal Finance in the High School classroom for 3 years. This past year I was able to bring the Dave Ramsey High School texts into my classroom. Instead of offering Personal Finance for one semester out of the year, we offered it BOTH semesters due to the high demand from students. Former students are now telling their friends to take the class. I don't even have to advertise the class. It has become the most popular Business Elective class at our school. I have students that stay after class to share their personal stories with me. I have been a shoulder for them to cry on as they learn the importance of money management. One of our top students at my high school ( in the top 10%) stayed after school yesterday and said that this class has made a bigger change in her life and her way of thinking than any other class in High School. I really believe that this book and video series has changed the lives of so many of my students. I really feel like I am making more of a difference in my students lives by being able to teach this product in my classroom. Thank you Dave Ramsey and your wonderful team :)

I bought this curriculum to teach a two week elective at our school. I team-taught with another teacher. We only had 6 students. After the first lesson, the kids who could have taken fun hands-on classes like pottery, movie making, archery, cooking, etc. said, "Holy Cow! Too bad everyone didn't sign up to take this class - we could have a school full of millionaires when they're alums!" We told them that they would be our advertising for next year.
We started with a short Bible lesson before each class, because we wanted to give the kids the proper perspective. My co-teacher and I have every reason to believe that when the kids follow Dave's plan, the WILL live like no one else. But we want them to remember Who is the giver of all good gifts so that they can help Him further His Kingdom.
The kids love the lessons so much, that even though we will only have time for ten lessons, they have decided to come during lunch or on a Saturday to get the last two - IMAGINE kids WANTING to come to school on Saturday to learn about personal finance...Dave has a EXTRAORDINARY gift for making this entertaining and motivating! Thank you, Dave!

I teach in an alternative learning program and we recently used the FPU curriculum. The response was overwhelmingly positive. The life lessons my students gained on top of the financial advice was immeasurable. I can't recommend this program highly enough. It also changed my view on finances, helped me do some of the little things differently and set me and my family WELL on the way to financial peace. In my humble opinion, this program should be a REQUIREMENT for high school graduation. It truly is "life changing."

I love this curriculum! I am using the Foundations in Personal Finance set (for high school students) with a class of 12th graders in a Christian school, and I am very impressed. First, Dave Ramsey is FUNNY. He presents financial concepts in such down-to-earth terms they really make sense, and my students are responding. I also appreciate how PRACTICAL Dave makes the lessons. This is information I wish I had been able to learn as a high school student. I highly recommend using this material with your students!
P.S. The workbooks and teacher's guide make this a very easy class to implement. Thanks for the great resource!
