Wow! This is the best curriculum my teenagers will ever study. It has already changed their lives and they will remember this information because of the dynamic way it is taught. My teenagers have absolutely NO interest in credit cards or car loans! I am so happy. This is one of the best investments that I have made. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My husband and I have been following Dave Ramsey's advice for years. We are two years away from being free from our mortgage, we live by the envelope system, and happily refuse the lifestyle of our coworkers.
However, the ideas which supported what we were doing, were only being realized by our children in a very general way. We have always wanted them to take personal finance in high school. Imagine our delight when we discovered Dave Ramsey offered a curriculum for our kids!They started it because we assigned it. They look forward to it for the comedy show. They continue because they see a way to succeed.
You see, both of their dream jobs lean toward being self employed. This isn't a recipe for financial success for most people that we know. Until now. Thank you for making my children's dreams possible!

I work in a residential treatment program for Juvenile offenders and I began using this curriculum a couple weeks ago with 6 at risk youth in our program. While it is early, I have to say I am very hopeful about the results. Having gone through Financial Peace University last year, i was very well aware of how valuable this information is as it has radically changed my family already ( we became debt free after 6 months of starting the class!) The curriculum takes that same information and suppliments it with "teen friendly" explanations and processing. It also comes with a wealth of pdf files for lesson plans, activities, case studies and chapter tests. It is totally worth it and the teens are completely engaged the entire class. One magical moment worth sharing occured just yesterday when one of the youth initiated with me that during a visit with his mother ,just a couple hours after the class, he was pleading with his mother to start a bank account for his 5 year old brother right now and put away $50 a month for him. He was very inspired by the Ben and Arthur illustration. He brought his workbook to the visit to show his mother what he had been learning. This only after completing chapter one! Thank you Dave Ramsey for sharing what God has taught you through your life. It is making an impact here!

As a homeschooling mom, I wanted to make sure that my son was learning things that would make a difference when he graduated and something that he could really take with him when he leaves home. This class definitely meets that very important requirement. I've made some major mistakes in my financial life because of a lack of knowledge. This arms your teens with the knowledge they need to manage their money and to be good stewards with what God gives them. Normally it's difficult for me to motivate my son to do his work, but he loves doing this class and went right through the first 4 chapters in the video before I even realized he had done it. We had to go back and do the tests and some of the other extra work that he needed to do. The price is very reasonable and I believe that my son will definitely benefit from this course.

We are just completing chapter one of Foundations in Personal Finance, and, already, we are thrilled with the results we are seeing. Our daughter, a homeschooled high school junior, is not only learning key financial concepts but is actually enjoying learning lessons wiith the Ramseys--lessons that will benefit her now and throughout her future. Her dad and I wish we had taken this course in high school--starting your adult life with a sound financial philosophy is far better than having to learn from your mistakes!
Not only is the course full of terrific information, but it is also very user-friendly for busy homeschooling moms. The teacher's disc is full of excellent supplementary material/answer keys and, with minimal involvement from the parent, the student can work virtually independently. We plan to use this course for our younger three children. Thank you for a wonderful product!

My husband and I just completed the FPU and when I found the Homeschool edition online I was elated. We had been telling our 16 y/o son about some of the examples in class and knew I wanted to get this edition for him. There was so many activities that relate to high school and college kids. He already has his emergency fund and is saving up cash for a car. HIs goal is to purchase a home with cash.
The lessons and chapters are broken down short enough to hold kids attention. I would recommend this for high school/college students.

We bought this program for my homeschooling Senior, so he would have some money sense when out on his own.
It is fabulous, and it is teaching the whole family, not just him.
The explanations are clear. And Dave is funny and uses great illustrations and analogies.
Also the workbook and tests and activities are relevant and backup the video, and make it more worthy of high school credit.

Two of my children are taking this course right now. They love it! It is great to have this training for the youth. They will have a great advantage over their parents, who didn't find out about Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Seminar until a couple of years ago. The youth-focused video clips and having Dave's daughter get on and talk to the youth is very helpful.

I bought this for my daughter's senior year elective credit (7th year as home school student). I was able to catch alot of the lessons. We found them very informative, entertaining and most of all practical. Most days we watched more than one session at a time. My motive was not only to satisfy an elective credit but to also to help equip her for life (I like getting my money's worth).
I own/run a family business and have a business degree. I have found over the years just becasue something is printed in a textbook doesn't mean that it is correct or even works. Some life lessons re-learned are harder than others. This course cuts to the chase and if the principles are implemented early and followed, life is just easier from the start.
Half way through the sessions, my daughter told me she already had her "emergency" fund, she didn't owe any bills, since we have expenses set aside for the family, she wanted to invest the rest.of her savings.

I'm a big brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters. After going through FPU myself, I wanted to share this info to my "little".
This is the best program I found that allows us to watch the DVD's together and follow along in the workbook. I didn't know what to expect, but he's really jazzed about this program after watching the DVD's and looks forward to watching them all.
We've been meeting once a week, doing 1/2 to 1 chapter at a time. Dave and his production team have created a great resource that keeps the attention of a high school kid (and me!).
Great job. I highly recommend this for any school room. And I encourage any fathers, mothers, or mentors to go through this one-on-one with the kids in their lives that they care about!

I am using this set as a class in our grandchildren's home school program. This set has the tools that will help our next generation to make wise choices and not make the same mistakes that we made in the past. They will learn that the dream of a lifetime is to live debt free forever.

I purchased this curriculum without knowing anything about it. I am so glad that I did. My oldest is taking the course for an Economics 1/2 credit. This is by far her favorite subject this year. She is 100% self-motivated in the subject and can't wait to watch the dvd everyday. Just yesterday she told me that she hates to see the course come to an end. I plan on sending the younger two through this when they get to high school. Since we have had such a good experience with this one of our friends is taking the course too. Thanks to Dave and his team for putting this together.

I was very happy with the content and presentation of the home study course. My kids would just want to watch all the videos with Dave if I let them, but I decided to slow things down so it would really sink in. My favorite thing was when my 12 yr old said, ah dad, but I really wanted to learn about wealth building!!! I said... we will watch it tomorrow night!! They are hyped and excited about making money, saving it, and giving it to other!! Thanks Dave! I'm going to approach our kids school about implementing this course in the classroom!!

This course was incredible. At 17 I want to start making smart financial decisions, but wasn't exactly sure where to begin. Dave does such a great job of explaining it, and I was totally inspired to make wise money decisions. And never have a car payment or use credit cards. ;-)

I purchased this curriculum for our daughter to use next semester in the hope of helping her avoid some of our money mistakes. I decided to go ahead and watch some of the videos, and I got so excited that I set up my own monthly budget and debt snowball plans. My husband is thrilled. In addition, our college-aged son was at home and watched some of the videos with me and he has jumped on the bandwagon, too. Other financial management programs have left me feeling defeated. Dave Ramsey sets the bar high, but teaches you how to clear it and what to do when you miss the mark. This may be the best money we ever spent on curriculum!

In nineteen years of homeschooling, we've used curriculum from every major publisher. Foundations in Personal Finance is by far the most practical, life-changing, and enjoyable material we have ever used. Any teen who leaves home without taking this course has a woefully incomplete education.

This product takes the FPU information and makes it applicable to teens and young people. It is presented in a cool manner, using Dave's daughter Rachel to add some young viewpoints.
I would love to see this curriculum used in every school in America. This is something we neglect to teach our children regarding handling money, the dangers of debt, the importance of saving and so many other great topics.
