Entertaining, informative, funny and just plain wonderful! Dave attacks a difficult subject and by the time he is finished, you believe that you, too, can do this. He provides basic information on not just how to do it, but why you should do it, and how following his steps can really change your life. Lots of interesting facts about spending habits and spending psychology that really help you understand why you might have done what you did to end up where you are today. Understanding helps you to not make the same mistakes again. I put this DVD on and watch again whenever I am feeling not so very gazelle. I get right back on track. Thanks Dave!

the DVD was very informative, i love this DVD and showed it to my friends and family, i was once part of the group that believed you had to have a credit card if you're gonna get anywhere, but i was wrong!!!! i wish i would have done this sooner and stayed away from them snakes!!!!! i got rid of my credit cards, mowed them, blended them, shot 'em up and flushed them down!!!!! NO MORE CREDIT CARDS in my wallet or home!!!!! Thanks Dave for putting this information out there so that people especially young people won't end up in the mess we are in today!! Keep it on!!!! i am paying off $8972.54 was at 11575.84 before starting the program!!

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Out of all the DVDs, I found this one the most life changing for me. It really gave me a financial conscience as to how I was managing my money and how I should really be handling it, not to mention how my spending was affecting my child's views on money! It takes you evern further into your child's life or your own if you want to go back to college yourself to learn early on to steer clear of the temptations offered...what is a true emergency and what is not! I love the Cheetah example...it made me really realize that that is how hard these companies work at getting our money...all the special effects on the DVD were very eye-opening! Thanks, Dave!

Thoroughly enjoyed; love the illustration of the gazelle & cheetah. Gives my husband and I the encouragement to be the gazelle that runs away! Watch it when ever we feel discouraged about getting out of debt. I highly recommend this lesson, I think it should required to be watched in all grade schools.

For years I have been trying to get my husband on board and fight debt. FIRST OF ALL, prayer and God pulling all the right strings got us to the point where Dave's videos would even be watched, then Relating with money pointed out our strongsuits and Dumping debt clinched the deal and he was on board in a big way!!! I didnt buy these ten years ago because I thought it was good enough that I was on board and I wanted to use that money for more important things....WRONG! Perhaps it would have happened sooner had I not been so cheap.

I got rid of my credit cards (really, it was mutual....) and I'm not ashamed of being credit card dumb -- I came to that conclusion way before Dave explained how the credit card companies expend so many dollars each year coming up with ways to outwit you and make you their debtor. Watching Dave's Dumping Debt dvd has helped me to see that I'm not alone. I may not be rich, but I sleep so much better now that I'm out from under credit card debt.

Thank you again Dave! The videos make for the best wedding gifts, ever! In the event you are wondering why we buy the same thing all the time from your store, this is why. In 2002 or 3, my wife and I went to your live event in Atlanta. By December 2005, we had paid of 157,000 of debt. $60,000 was the sell of a rental home. We have since paid off another rental and are down to 8 years on our primary and 2nd rental property. Because everyday puts us one more step out of bondage, we try to give the same gift and opportunity to everyone we meet and encounter. At the age of 32 and 33, we understand the life opportunities we can now provide our children. This is why your dumbing debt series is the only gift we give.

I signed up for FPU at my local church thinking it was free. When I got there and found out that it cost money to attend , I went ahead and wrote out a check to keep from being embarrased. I thought ,what have I got myself into? Well, here's what I got myself into: I paid off over $ 13,000 in credit card debt, paid off my car and now have $9400 in my emergency fund and am contributing $6000 a year to my retirement fund. I made a necklace and bracelet out of the credit cards that I cut up. I sent them to Dave about a year ago. (Maybe his daughters are wearing them) This is the best thing that has ever happened to me by mistake. I highly recommend this course to anyone young or old and no matter how smart they think they are, there is something to be learned from this course. Thank you Dave for helping me dump my stress!!!

If only I had taken this course before I made some big errors in my financial situation. I really believe that I have been educated to make informed decisions for the remainder of my life and to help my children make informed choices. I would really recommend taking FPU.

Dumping Debt is the primary lesson of Financial Peace University, and it is simple and powerful. I think the average family in America is overwhelmed by debt and can't see a way out, with a few exceptions. This lesson provides a logical, specific method to identifying, facing, and eliminating debt. If a family can get a handle on debt, and then eliminate debt, a great burden of worry, sleepness nights, arguments, and frustration are lifted. A new freedom is attained and peace of mind is within reach. If the Debt Snowball method is combined with aversion towards future debt, then you are 90% of the way there.
The biggest problem I see is financing new vehicles. A few years ago, a co-worker proudly gave me a ride in his brand-new $42,000.00 pickup truck, most of which was financed. His pride was palpable. I tried to be cheerful and complementary, but I just couldn't get too excited about it. What a collosal waste of money, what a burden of debt that must be. The shine faded from that truck soon after, and he had to get rid of it at a loss.
My car is old and has over 200,000 miles on it, but It still runs and meets my needs. I am not going to buy another car until I am facing a repair bill that is at least twice the value of the car.
I wish I could get my son and daughter-in-law to listen. He's young and is a Private in the Army. He's married and they have two young boys. He just went out and bought a $600+ per month pickup truck. He's happy now, but reality will set in. I feel for them. When the time is right I will send him the Relate with Money, the Dumping Debt, and the Budgeting DVDs. They would be ignored, put away and forgotten about if I gave them to him right now.
It's just like you can't help a drunk while he's having fun. A drunk is only open to suggestion when he hits rock bottom and sees no way out. I hate to see them hit rock bottom, but i"m afraid that is what it will take to get them to take notice.
I just hate the thought of him defending our country while he and his family are suffering with high debt levels. But it's the same old thing; you can't tell anybody anything until they are willing to listen. At least I will have a solution to offer to him.
